Proposed 24-month program
Friends of Chakraviu Nepal is raising support for a recovery program led by Chakraviu Nepal for 250 students affected by the August 2026 floods.
About
On 26 August 2026, a catastrophic flash flood struck Rasuwa District following a sudden glacial collapse and debris flow. Families lost homes and livelihoods, and children faced disrupted schooling, displacement, and uncertainty.
Chakraviu Nepal completed a three-day field assessment from 30 September to 2 October 2026 to understand the needs of affected children and families.
Friends of Chakraviu Nepal is supporting a proposed education recovery response developed by Chakraviu Nepal, a Nepal-based organization working with local schools, authorities, and community partners.
The program is intended to support students where they live and coordinate with the wider education response.
